Support Bond County Humane Society

Bond County Humane Society (BCHS) is a primarily volunteer organization operating solely on membership dues, donations, fundraisers and grants and receives no funding from city, county, state or federal governments, or any other private organization. We provide food, shelter, medical treatment and loving care until homeless animals can find their forever home. BCHS is an independent entity not financially affiliated with nor financially supported by Humane Society of the United States or any other humane society, organization, or entity. We need your direct local support to continue our efforts in helping the animals of Bond County, Illinois. Together we can all make a difference. BCHS is a no-kill animal shelter and an IRS approved 501(c)3 charitable organization, EIN 37-1470493, so all donations are tax deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines.

One Time Giving & Monthly Giving

Make a one-time or recurring financial donation to Bond County Humane Society. Any amount, no matter how large or small, is deeply appreciated! Monthly giving provides reliable funds for recurring expenses (think utilities, payroll for highly qualified caregivers, animal-related expenses like medical supplies, special diets, etc.) that are often not covered by grants or restricted donations.

Employee Matching Donations - Double Your Donation

Many employers match charitable donations, increasing the impact of your gift. Check with your company to find out if they will match your donation!

78% of match-eligible donors have no idea whether their company offers a matching gift program.
Only 7% of donors at companies with matching gift programs actually submit a match request.
84% of donors say they’re more likely to donate if they know their donation will be matched.

Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they’ll request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio. Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process which must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process. Please search CharityNavigator’s database, powered by Double the Donation, for company specific information. For questions regarding your company’s programs, please contact your employer’s HR or community giving department. Much of the necessary information is also available on your company intranet.

Host a Donation Drive

Some of our supporters enjoy engaging their own networks and planning events to collect supplies for us. Learning to give back is a valuable lesson for kids to learn early. Many of our young supporters have decided to use their own birthday celebrations as a way to give back to the community through donation drives. Our older supporters have hosted office party or school donation drives.
